IPL Auction Registration 2018: 1122 Players including Yuvraj, Ashwin and more.
The Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) has succeeded in attracting players with their every edition. A total of 1122 players have registered for the 11th edition of the IPL this year. This is the highest number in the history of the world’s most famous league. The players will get auctioned in Bangalore on January 27-28. The list of cricketers who made the registration has been sent to 8 franchise teams.

England captain Joe Root can be seen in the IPL 2018 for the first time. Root has registered for the first time auction for the players in this league. In this list of players, 281 capped players, 838 uncapped cricketer comprises 778 Indians and 3 players from Associate Countries. Now on January 27-28, 8 franchises will select players from 1122 and will bid them for inclusion in the team.
Gautam Gambhir, star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who have made Kolkata Knight Riders champions in their captain twice, are also included in the list of the auction. Apart from them, West Indies’ Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Chris Lynn, Mitchell Starc, Dwayne Bravo and Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga are also included in the auction list. Apart from Ajinkya Rahane, Lokesh Rahul, Murali Vijay and Kuldeep Yadav, Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, all-rounder Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson are on the list.

Earlier, Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians for the IPL-2011, Chennai Super Kings, who returned and Royal Challengers Bangalore retained 3-3 players, Sunrisers Hyderabad-Kolkata Knight Riders 2-2 and Rajasthan Royals- Kings XI Punjab 1- 1 player was retained in the team.
According to the rules, all franchisees can spend up to Rs 80 crores for the inclusion of the players in the new season. Rajasthan has given Steve Smith the money and Punjab has spent 12.5 crore rupees on Ratan. In such cases, these two teams have outstanding dues of Rs 67.5 crore.
The teams which have decided to retain one or two players, can use 3right to match cards during the auction. At the same time, the teams who have retired 3 players will be able to use only 2 times of this card during the auction.
